Attribute Point Allocation Question
Is it possible to have 8/10/12 in your attributes?
Example:
8 Soul Reaping (can be 7 + minor rune)
10 Death Magic (can be 9 + minor rune)
12 Blood Magic (must be a "natural" 12 so that it can be elevated to a 16 by headpiece and Sup Rune or 15 by helm and major rune).
Thanks!

you could probably go 8/10/12
8 Shadow
10 Critical
12 Dagger
But, don't take my word for it, I'm just throwing out numbers, and have not tried this. I don't see why you couldn't go 8/10/12, though.

It's for research purposes, I'm attempting to create a new spiking build for any form of combat (PvE, PvP, GvG, RA, TA, HoH). Once I'm done (i.e. the testing is done), the community can "cash in" on the spike and begin to build counters to it.

As a matter of fact, you can hit 8-10-12 without any runes at all, using 195/200 attribute points. Two minors and a sup yield 9-11-16.
I have to say, I do not have extraordinarily high hopes for a game-changing device coming from someone who has to ask about attribute distributions. Do you not own the game, or have you not finished the 15pt quests?

I just didn't have the time to make a quick check, this computer isn't the one with Guild Wars installed on it. That's the only reason. Spike testing will likely begin in a week or so, the essential build design quirks are still in the making (the spike has been devised and is ready, right now it's just fine-tuning the other skills that players bring with them). The spike build should be good for faction farming too... We'll see.
@swordfisher, I can understand the skepticism there... I would be too if some random guy popped up and said "hey, I just figured out how to beat anyone in my sleep!"... which is basically what I'm saying.
We'll see how this works out, I intend to keep the community informed at the moment...kinda depends on how the community receives the news that the spike build is about to be posted. I may decide to only give it to those who ask me in PMs.

Hm hm...you do there's a lovely Attribute Layout Table Guide here at GWG, right? Oh so very helpful for when you need to check stuff like this :-P

That was relevant...how?
@LaserLight, thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that particular guide before since I normally just browse the build forums.

LaserLight,
Thank you for giving people a link to the attribute displacement list. I've been thinking about how distributions go for a while. I like making theoretical builds to see if they might work and how I should distribute my skill points.
As far as Kabale's comments of "Oh god", well I agree with that only when I saw the list of how you can have 6 attributes or 7 attributes. Thats too much to have spread out.
Bloodied Blade - were you asking Kabale on how his post was helpful? Or were you asking LaserLight? If you were asking LaserLight, then look at the link for 3 attribute list. You'll see how helpful it truly is. If you were asking Kabale, then yes I agree. How helpful is a two word comment of "oh god"?
Everytime I get onto Guildwars, I tend to play instead of seeing how the 200 skill points (not the ones you get to buy skills with) can be distributed by logging the # of skills in each attribute.
So, once again, LaserLight, thanks a lot for the link.

The rhetoric on the "helpful comment" thing was directed toward Kabale, as I perceived that he was referring to the idea that there was a new variety of spike coming.
@Kabale, if I misunderstood your intentions, I apologize for my ignorance.
@Pick Me, ya, I enjoy making theoretical builds as well, which is literally what the new spike idea is...the entire team would have to be unbelievably coordinated in order to pull it off, but there's almost no chance of failure if the team is synchronized (sure, everything has counters, but if they didn't counter it...etc.).
I only really started thinking about the new spike recently because I feel like I don't pvp enough...maybe I should change the thread title or ask a mod to move it...though the gvg forums didn't like the idea of a new spike build coming.
EDIT: Just checked the gvg forums, while admittedly the post was slightly boastful, the idea that a new spike was in the works was shot down and the thread closed. The build should be available within the week to those who request it in a PM and I am working on a guide for it. Guide will be available by guild site (sorry, no freebees there...at least you get the build though).

Consider it done: The entire spike requires some form of assassin in it, used for utility skills, mobility, and general assassination.
There's your reason... Sorry if it doesn't meet any possible higher expectation. I didn't post this in both profession forums for the skills used because then it might be too easy to figure out what I'm trying...I'm really one who leans toward the enjoyment of a grand unveiling of something.
EDIT: Let this roll down into the forums, we have more pressing issues to discuss at the moment... I'll revive this once 100% of the build is ready.
